JD cars from 2012 to 2018, nearly always for an Android screen in place of the basic radio, often with a reversing camera done at the same time. ED owners come for the same screen. CD owners mostly want front parking sensors, a camera on the factory screen or a wireless adapter for their wired CarPlay.

Only at the back. The radio, screen and dashboard are shared with the hatch on every generation, so the Android screen, CarPlay and sensor work is the same. The reversing camera sits in the tailgate handle on the estate and the ProCeed, and the cable runs through the tailgate grommet, which adds a little time.

ED — 2007–2012 (five-door and three-door hatch, SW estate): CD radio with a small display, Bluetooth on later cars; no touchscreen on most, factory navigation was rare. JD — 2012–2018 (hatch, Sportswagon estate and pro_cee'd three-door): Radio with a small display and Bluetooth on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, with CarPlay and Android Auto usually on 2017 and later navigation cars. CD — 2018 on (hatch, Sportswagon and ProCeed): 7-inch display audio with CarPlay and Android Auto on 2018–2021 base cars, 8 or 10.25-inch navigation on higher trims; 8-inch display audio with wireless CarPlay and 10.25-inch navigation after the 2021 facelift. Car radio: A 9 or 10-inch Android screen in place of the ED or JD radio; CD cars keep the factory screen. CarPlay: Android screen on ED and basic-radio JD cars, an interface on JD navigation cars, wireless adapter on the CD. Reversing camera: Camera in the tailgate on the factory screen where there is one, otherwise on the Android screen. Parking sensors: Front or rear sensors colour-matched with a factory-style tone on every Ceed generation. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Parking sensors: two to three hours for one end, about half a day for front and rear. Most Ceed owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
