UB cars from 2011 to 2017 for the Android screen, and older JB cars from 2006 to 2011, which usually get the screen, a reversing camera and parking sensors together. YB owners mostly come for a wireless adapter or a camera on the factory screen, because the touchscreen cars already have CarPlay.

On a JB or UB, yes, with a mirror monitor: the camera sits in the tailgate handle and the picture appears in the rear-view mirror when you select reverse. On a YB with the factory touchscreen the camera goes onto that screen. Most UB owners do the Android screen at the same time, because the picture is larger and the car gets CarPlay in the same visit.

JB — 2005–2011 (hatch and saloon): CD radio with no screen; Bluetooth on very few cars. UB — 2011–2017 (three-door and five-door): Radio with a small display, Bluetooth and USB on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on the top trim only, without CarPlay. YB — 2017–2023: 5-inch display audio without CarPlay on base 2017–2020 cars; 7-inch touchscreen with CarPlay and Android Auto on mid trims from 2017, 8-inch with wireless CarPlay on most cars after the 2020 facelift. CarPlay: Android screen on JB, UB and base YB cars; a wireless adapter on YB cars with the factory touchscreen. Car radio: A 9 or 10-inch Android screen in place of the JB, UB or base YB radio, fascia matched to each dash. Reversing camera: Camera in the tailgate on the factory touchscreen, the Android screen or a mirror monitor. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Rio owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
