Radio King does CarPlay and Android Auto retrofit on every Kia Ceed generation we see: ED (2007–2012): Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto through a car-specific Android screen in the radio slot, the only route on the ED as there is no original screen to work with; JD (2012–2018): Android screen with wireless CarPlay on cars with the basic radio; a CarPlay interface on the factory 7-inch navigation screen on some 2013–2016 navigation cars; 2017 and later navigation cars usually have it already and get a wireless adapter; CD (2018 on): Factory CarPlay and Android Auto on every CD; the 7-inch display audio and the 10.25-inch navigation are wired, so we fit a wireless adapter, and we set up Android Auto where it refuses to connect. Every CD from 2018 has CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory: wired on the 7-inch display audio and the 10.25-inch navigation, wireless on the 8-inch display audio after the 2021 facelift. On the JD it depends on the year and the radio: 2017 and later navigation cars mostly have it, earlier ones do not. No ED has it. Send the reg and we check.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Kia Ceed?
It depends on the generation. ED (2007–2012): from €290; JD (2012–2018): not available; CD (2018 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a Kia Ceed?
ED: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. JD: the Radio with a small display and Bluetooth on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, with CarPlay and Android Auto usually on 2017 and later navigation cars and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. CD: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept.
