If it is a QL from 2017 on with the 7 or 8-inch touchscreen, or any NQ5, CarPlay and Android Auto are usually already in the car and only need a cable or a wireless adapter. A 2016–2018 QL with the 5-inch display audio and every SL does not have it, so those get a car-specific Android screen in the factory position. Send the reg and we tell you which one you have.
Can I make the wired CarPlay in my Sportage wireless?
Yes. On QL touchscreen cars and on NQ5 cars with the 12.3-inch navigation we plug a wireless adapter into the factory USB port; the phone connects on its own when you get in and the factory screen and steering-wheel buttons work exactly as before. The 8-inch display audio in the NQ5 and the 2025 facelift already connect wirelessly, so nothing is needed there.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Kia Sportage?
It depends on the generation. SL (2010–2015): not available; QL (2016–2021): from €290; NQ5 (2022 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

How long does CarPlay take on a Kia Sportage?
SL: two to four hours; QL: two to three hours; NQ5: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Sportage in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a Kia Sportage?
SL: the CD radio with a small display and Bluetooth on most cars; 7-inch touchscreen navigation on higher trims, no CarPlay and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. QL: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. NQ5: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
Do I need to book CarPlay for my Kia Sportage, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (SL, QL and NQ5) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
