Yes. On 2016–2020 cars with MIB2 the camera is coded into the MMI and comes up on the pop-up screen with guidelines when you select reverse, as if it left the factory that way. On 2012–2016 MIB1 cars it goes through a video interface, so the picture still appears on the factory screen. Most A3 camera jobs we see are 8V Sportbacks.

8P, built 2003–2012 (Concert, Chorus or Symphony radio in a double-DIN slot, RNS-E navigation optional; Bose on some cars): Camera in the boot handle shown on the Android screen, or fed into the RNS-E display through a video interface; a mirror monitor where the factory radio stays. 8V, built 2012–2020 (MMI radio or MMI navigation with a pop-up screen: MIB1 to 2016, MIB2 from the 2016 facelift with the Audi smartphone interface as an option; Virtual Cockpit optional): Factory-look camera in the boot handle coded into the MMI on MIB2 cars; on MIB1 cars it goes through a video interface to the pop-up screen. 8Y, built 2020 on (MMI touch with a 10.1-inch touchscreen (MIB3), Virtual Cockpit standard; Audi smartphone interface on most cars, wireless CarPlay on many): Factory camera retrofit coded into the MMI touch screen with guidelines.
