Radio King upgrades the Škoda Kodiaq: on Mk1 cars with MIB2 we switch SmartLink on by coding where it was never ordered, fit a factory-look reversing camera coded into the screen and hardwire dash cams; facelift and Mk2 cars have wireless CarPlay from the factory, so we add cameras and dash cams. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.
The head unit decides the route, and it changed with every generation. Find your years, then pick the service above for what we fit and from what price.
| Generation | Years | Body | Factory system |
|---|---|---|---|
| NS Mk1 | 2016–2024 | five and seven seats | MIB2 Swing, Bolero or Amundsen 8-inch, Columbus 9.2-inch; SmartLink optional at launch; MIB3 with wireless SmartLink on the 2021 facelift |
| Mk2 Second generation | 2024 on | five and seven seats, iV plug-in hybrid | MIB3 with a 13-inch screen and Smart Dials; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory |
Generation-by-generation guides first — the Kodiaq jobs we see most. The rest of the workshop's services are done on every Škoda too.
Book the install, let us photograph the finished car for a case study, and you get a discount on the fitting. Every Kodiaq owner after you gets a real example to look at.
Real Škoda cars from the Dublin 11 workshop — Kodiaq first, then the rest of the range: what was fitted and what changed on the dash.
Car-specific screens, CarPlay boxes and activations for Škoda: supply-only with delivery across Ireland, or fitted at our Dublin 11 workshop.
Answers for Kodiaq owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppMk1 cars from 2016 to 2021 with MIB2, usually for SmartLink activation and a reversing camera together, and dash cams across the whole range. Facelift cars from 2021 and the Mk2 already have wireless CarPlay, so they come in for cameras, dash cams and front sensors.
No. The tailgate and its loom are the same on five and seven-seat cars, so the camera and a rear dash cam route the same way. The only thing we plan for is the third-row trim, which comes off to hide the cable cleanly along the headliner and down the D-pillar.
NS — 2016–2024 (five and seven seats): MIB2 Swing, Bolero or Amundsen 8-inch, Columbus 9.2-inch; SmartLink optional at launch; MIB3 with wireless SmartLink on the 2021 facelift. Mk2 — 2024 on (five and seven seats, iV plug-in hybrid): MIB3 with a 13-inch screen and Smart Dials; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.
Reversing camera: Factory-look camera in the tailgate handle coded into MIB2 or MIB3 with guidelines on both generations. CarPlay: SmartLink activation on 2016–2021 MIB2 cars, factory wireless CarPlay on the facelift and Mk2. Dash cam: Hardwired from the footwell fuse box with parking mode, 12 V side only on the iV hybrid. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Dash cam: one to two hours for a front camera, about two with a rear camera. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most Kodiaq owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
NS: the MIB2 Swing, Bolero or Amundsen 8-inch, Columbus 9.2-inch; SmartLink optional at launch; MIB3 with wireless SmartLink on the 2021 facelift stays and we add to it. Mk2: the MIB3 with a 13-inch screen and Smart Dials; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.

Excellent service from Radio King. They supplied and professionally installed a 70mai T800 three-channel camera system in my taxi, covering the front, rear and passenger cabin. The wiring was fitted neatly and everything was fully…
