Ask on WhatsAppMy 2015 Peugeot 208 has the touchscreen but no CarPlay. What are the options?
That is a SMEG or SMEG+ unit, and CarPlay was never in its software, so it cannot be switched on by coding. We fit a CarPlay box behind the factory screen: the picture and touch come through the original 7-inch display, and the steering buttons still work. If you would rather have a bigger display and navigation, the 208-specific Android screen replaces the unit instead.
Does the 2019 on Peugeot 208 need anything for CarPlay?
No. Every P21 has CarPlay and Android Auto on the factory screen, wired by USB on cars up to the 2023 facelift. Most owners come to us for a wireless adapter so the phone connects on its own, and imported cars come for region and map changes on the NAC navigation. A few Access cars with the smaller screen ask about a larger Android display.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Peugeot 208?
It depends on the generation. A9 (2012–2019): from €500; P21 (2019 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
