No. The electric Mokka B runs its screen and adapters from the 12 V battery like the petrol car, so the wireless adapter is the same part and the traction battery is never touched. Everything is done at the Dublin 11 workshop while you wait, usually inside an hour.

CarPlay: An Android screen on the 2012–2016 Mokka, a wireless adapter on the Mokka X and Mokka B with factory CarPlay. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Car radio: Car-specific Android screen with wireless CarPlay, DAB and camera input, factory controls kept. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four rear sensors and a beeper that speeds up as you close in; nothing on the screen. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Mokka owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
