Opel · Mokka

Opel Mokka upgrades, generation by generation.

Radio King adds CarPlay and Android Auto to the Opel and Vauxhall Mokka: 2012–2016 cars with CD400 or Navi 950 take an Android screen, the Mokka X has CarPlay on IntelliLink and gets an adapter, and the 2020-on Mokka B has it too, so it needs only an adapter or pairing help. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.

FAQ

Opel Mokka: questions people ask.

Answers for Mokka owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which Opel Mokka do you see most in the workshop?

The 2012 to 2016 Mokka, for an Android screen with wireless CarPlay in place of the CD400 or Navi 950, because neither can mirror a phone. Mokka X and Mokka B owners come for a wireless CarPlay adapter, and Mokka-e drivers for the same adapter and help pairing a second phone. Vauxhall and Opel cars are identical for all of this.

Does the Mokka-e need anything different?

No. The electric Mokka B runs its screen and adapters from the 12 V battery like the petrol car, so the wireless adapter is the same part and the traction battery is never touched. Everything is done at the Dublin 11 workshop while you wait, usually inside an hour.

Which Opel Mokka generation do I have?

Mokka A — 2012–2016: CD400 or CD400plus radio without a screen on most cars; Navi 650 or Navi 950 IntelliLink with a 7-inch screen on higher trims, no CarPlay. Mokka X — 2016–2019: R4.0 IntelliLink 7-inch or Navi 900 IntelliLink 8-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most cars. Mokka B — 2020 on (including Mokka-e and Mokka Electric): Multimedia Radio 7-inch or Multimedia Navi Pro 10-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; wireless on 2024-on facelift cars. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.

What does Radio King fit on a Opel Mokka?

CarPlay: An Android screen on the 2012–2016 Mokka, a wireless adapter on the Mokka X and Mokka B with factory CarPlay. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Car radio: Car-specific Android screen with wireless CarPlay, DAB and camera input, factory controls kept. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

How long do jobs on a Opel Mokka take?

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Mokka owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do you keep the factory system on a Opel Mokka?

Mokka A: the CD400 or CD400plus radio without a screen on most cars; Navi 650 or Navi 950 IntelliLink with a 7-inch screen on higher trims, no CarPlay stays and we add to it. Mokka X: the R4.0 IntelliLink 7-inch or Navi 900 IntelliLink 8-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most cars stays and we add to it. Mokka B: the Multimedia Radio 7-inch or Multimedia Navi Pro 10-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory; wireless on 2024-on facelift cars stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
