Two Opels: GM and Stellantis
Opel changed owners in 2017, and the electronics changed with it:
- The GM years, up to about 2018 — CD 400, CD 600 and IntelliLink R3.0. Corsa D and E, Astra H and J, Insignia A, Zafira B and C, Mokka A, Vivaro and Movano. IntelliLink R4.0 from 2015 brought CarPlay on some trims; everything older has none, and no update adds it. These take a car-specific Android screen.
- The Stellantis years, 2019 on — Corsa F, Mokka B, Astra L, Combo and the newer Vivaro share their platform and screens with Peugeot and Citroën. CarPlay comes from the factory, wired; a small adapter makes it wireless.

What changes on the dash
The Opel radio comes out and the Android screen goes in behind a moulded fascia. This matters more on an Opel than on most cars: the Astra J console curves, and a universal trim leaves a visible step. The harness carries power, speakers, the antenna and the CAN lines in the factory plugs, so the steering-wheel buttons, the parking display and the cluster information keep working with nothing spliced. Climate controls stay physical. On the vans the camera goes in at the same visit and shows on the same screen with guidelines.

- Fitting booked at checkout, two to three hours; a reverse camera shares the fitting time.
