Ask on WhatsAppDoes a Japanese-import Leaf get CarPlay?
It depends on the unit. Most ZE0 imports and many ZE1 imports have a Japanese NissanConnect nav without CarPlay and with Japanese menus, and those get an Android screen made for the Leaf dash with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, English menus and the Irish FM band. Some later ZE1 imports have CarPlay on the Japanese unit, and those only need a wireless adapter. The Japanese menus on the rest of the car are a separate conversion.
Will I lose the charge timer if the Leaf screen is replaced?
The charge and climate timers on a Leaf are set through the centre screen on many cars, with the Nissan app as the other way in. Before the factory unit comes out we check how your car sets them and make sure you keep a way to do it; on cars where only the screen can set them we say so up front rather than find out afterwards.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Nissan Leaf?
It depends on the generation. ZE0 (2011–2017): from €250; ZE1 (2018 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
