Only the late J11 cars. From the late-2018 update the NissanConnect 7-inch unit came with CarPlay and Android Auto on most trims, and on those we add a wireless adapter. 2014 to 2018 J11 cars with the 5-inch radio or the NissanConnect 2 nav never had it in the software, so they get an Android screen, or a CarPlay interface on the factory screen where the unit supports one. Yes. The J10 gets an Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the factory position, with a Qashqai fascia and a harness that keeps the steering-wheel buttons and the factory speakers. Cars with the 2010-on Connect nav lose nothing that matters, as the new screen does navigation, DAB and Bluetooth calls and takes a reversing camera.

It depends on the generation. J10 (2007–2013): from €290; J11 (2014–2021): not available; J12 (2021 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

J10, built 2007–2013 (Nissan CD radio without a screen on most cars; Nissan Connect 5-inch touchscreen nav on 2010–2013 n-tec and Tekna cars): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the factory position, with a Qashqai fascia and the steering-wheel buttons kept; the same screen replaces the Connect nav on 2010-on cars. J11, built 2014–2021 (5-inch display radio on Visia and Acenta; NissanConnect 2 seven-inch touchscreen nav on N-Connecta and Tekna; NissanConnect with CarPlay and Android Auto from the late-2018 update on most trims): Late-2018-on cars usually have CarPlay already, so we fit a wireless adapter; earlier cars get an Android screen with the Around View Monitor kept, or a CarPlay interface on the NissanConnect 2 screen where the unit supports one. J12, built 2021 on (NissanConnect 8-inch touchscreen with wired CarPlay and Android Auto, 9-inch with wireless CarPlay on higher trims; 12.3-inch digital cluster; e-Power on many Irish cars): Factory CarPlay and Android Auto on every J12; we add wireless CarPlay to the 8-inch cars with an adapter and sort Android Auto connection problems.

J10: two to three hours; J11: two to four hours; J12: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Qashqai in the morning and collect it the same day.

J10: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. J11: the 5-inch display radio on Visia and Acenta; NissanConnect 2 seven-inch touchscreen nav on N-Connecta and Tekna; NissanConnect with CarPlay and Android Auto from the late-2018 update on most trims and its controls stay; the box sits behind the trim and is switched from the factory buttons. J12: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
