Nissan Elgrand Android screen & radio upgrade, generation by generation.

Usually yes. On the E51 and E52 the flip-down rear screen takes a video feed from the front unit, and the Android screen has a video output that we wire to it, so the rear passengers can watch what the front unit plays. On cars where the rear screen was fed by a separate Japanese TV tuner, that tuner is useless here and the rear screen is re-fed from the new unit.

On the E52 it can, through a CAN adapter that brings the factory cameras onto the Android screen, as long as the unit we fit supports it, which we confirm from your reg. On the E50 and E51 there is no around-view system, only a reversing camera on some cars, and that moves onto the new screen.

It depends on the generation. E50 (1997–2002): from €290; E51 (2002–2010): from €290; E52 (2010 on): from €290. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

E50, built 1997–2002 (Japanese-market radio or Xanavi nav with a TV tuner in a 200 mm wide opening on most cars; Japanese FM band and menus): Android screen in a 200 mm wide-DIN fascia with English menus, Irish FM and DAB; the TV tuner and the Japanese nav come out, the factory speakers stay. E51, built 2002–2010 (Japanese Xanavi or Clarion nav with Japanese menus in the 200 mm wide opening; some Highway Star cars have a flip-down rear screen fed from it): 200 mm wide Android screen with the Japanese nav out and the steering-wheel buttons kept; the rear flip-down screen is re-fed from the new unit where the car has one. E52, built 2010 on (Japanese NissanConnect or Clarion nav, 200 mm wide, with Around View Monitor and a rear flip-down screen on higher trims; no CarPlay on most): Android screen made for the E52 keeping the Around View Monitor, the rear screen and the steering-wheel buttons where the unit supports them; CarPlay, Android Auto and English menus built in.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Nissan Elgrand E50, E51 and E52. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
