Radio King works on the Mazda CX-30 from its 2019 launch: every car has Mazda Connect with CarPlay from the factory, so the CarPlay work is a wireless adapter and region changes on imports, and the rest is reversing cameras on the Mazda Connect screen and hardwired dash cams. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.
The head unit decides the route, and it changed with every generation. Find your years, then pick the service above for what we fit and from what price.
| Generation | Years | Body | Factory system |
|---|---|---|---|
| DM First generation | 2019–2023 | — | Mazda Connect with an 8.8-inch screen and the Commander knob; wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, Bose on higher trims |
| DM update First generation update | 2023 on | — | Mazda Connect with the Commander knob, a 10.25-inch screen on most trims; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on most cars |
Generation-by-generation guides first — the CX-30 jobs we see most. The rest of the workshop's services are done on every Mazda too.
Book the install, let us photograph the finished car for a case study, and you get a discount on the fitting. Every CX-30 owner after you gets a real example to look at.
Real Mazda cars from the Dublin 11 workshop — CX-30 first, then the rest of the range: what was fitted and what changed on the dash.
Car-specific screens, CarPlay boxes and activations for Mazda: supply-only with delivery across Ireland, or fitted at our Dublin 11 workshop.
Answers for CX-30 owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppDash cams and wireless CarPlay adapters on 2019 to 2023 cars, followed by reversing cameras on entry trims that came without one. The CX-30 shares its dashboard and Mazda Connect with the Mazda 3 BP, so the same parts and routes apply to both.
No. The interior fuse box is behind the panel under the steering column, so the cable runs from there up the A-pillar and along the headliner, and a low-voltage cut-off protects the battery in parking mode. The mild-hybrid cars keep a normal 12 V battery, so the wiring is the same.
DM — 2019–2023: Mazda Connect with an 8.8-inch screen and the Commander knob; wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, Bose on higher trims. DM update — 2023 on: Mazda Connect with the Commander knob, a 10.25-inch screen on most trims; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on most cars. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.
CarPlay: Factory CarPlay on every CX-30; wireless adapter on wired cars and region changes on imports. Reversing camera: Factory-style camera on the Mazda Connect screen with guidelines on cars that came without one. Dash cam: Hardwired from the driver's side fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off, cameras hidden in the headliner. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four rear sensors and a beeper that speeds up as you close in; nothing on the screen. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Dash cam: one to two hours for a front camera, about two with a rear camera. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most CX-30 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
DM: the Mazda Connect with an 8.8-inch screen and the Commander knob; wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, Bose on higher trims stays and we add to it. DM update: the Mazda Connect with the Commander knob, a 10.25-inch screen on most trims; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on most cars stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
