Radio King does CarPlay and Android Auto retrofit on every Mazda 6 generation we see: GG / GY (2002–2008): Android screen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto in the radio position with a GG fascia; the factory radio has no screen to feed; GH (2008–2012): Android screen replacing the factory radio with a GH fascia and canbus adapter; the display strip stays for the clock and climate; GJ (2012–2018): Mazda CarPlay and Android Auto retrofit kit behind the MZD Connect screen on 2015–2018 cars; an Android screen in place of the TomTom unit on 2013–2014 cars; GJ facelift / GL (2018–2023): Factory CarPlay on most cars, so we add a wireless adapter; the retrofit kit and software update on early 2018 cars that came without it; Android screen on Japanese-import Atenzas. Yes. GJ cars with the 7-inch MZD Connect screen and the Commander knob take the Mazda retrofit kit: a module behind the screen, a new USB hub in the armrest and a software update. CarPlay and Android Auto then run on the factory screen. Facelift cars from late 2018 usually had it from new, and 2013–2014 TomTom cars need an Android screen instead.
Can I get CarPlay in a 2008 to 2012 Mazda 6 with the CD radio?
Yes, through an Android screen in the radio position with a fascia made for the GH dashboard. It gives you wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input, and a canbus adapter keeps the steering-wheel buttons, the display strip above the vents and the Bose amplifier working. The same applies to GG cars from 2002 to 2008.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Mazda 6?
