Yes. Every DK has MZD Connect with the 7-inch screen and the Commander knob, and the Mazda retrofit kit adds CarPlay and Android Auto to it: a module behind the screen, a new USB hub in the armrest and a software update. Facelift cars from late 2018 usually had it from the factory, so send the reg and we check before you book.
My CX-3 is a Japanese import. Does the retrofit kit work?
No. The Japanese MZD Connect unit does not take the European kit, so on an imported CX-3 the route is an Android screen made for the DK dashboard: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, an Irish FM band, DAB and a camera input, with the Commander knob still working. Changing the dashboard language is a separate job.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Mazda CX-3?
It depends on the generation. DK (2015–2018): from €290; DK facelift (2018–2021): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
