Honda Fit Android screen & radio upgrade, generation by generation.

Yes. On the GK and GR the screen replaces only the head unit and the factory climate panel stays where it is; a canbus adapter keeps the steering-wheel buttons working on GE, GK and GR cars. On the GD the screen takes the radio slot with its own fascia. The Fit Hybrid GP5 and the GR e:HEV keep a normal 12 V battery, so the wiring is the same.

It depends on the generation. GD (2001–2008): from €290; GE (2007–2013): from €290; GK / GP5 (2013–2020): from €220; GR / GR3 (2020 on): from €290. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

GD, built 2001–2008 (Japanese CD radio or a Gathers navigation unit with Japanese menus and a 76–90 MHz FM band): Android screen with a fascia and harness for the GD dashboard, an Irish FM band, DAB and a camera input. GE, built 2007–2013 (Gathers navigation unit or a Japanese CD radio; no CarPlay and a Japanese FM band): Android screen made for the GE Fit and Jazz, steering-wheel buttons kept, an Irish FM band, DAB and a camera input. GK / GP5, built 2013–2020 (Gathers navigation unit or Display Audio with Japanese menus; no CarPlay on most cars and a Japanese FM band): 9-inch Android screen for the GK and GP5 with the factory climate panel kept, an Irish FM band, DAB and the reversing camera on the same screen. GR / GR3, built 2020 on (Gathers 9-inch navigation unit with Japanese menus; Honda Connect with CarPlay on some cars, but maps and FM band set for Japan): Android screen made for the GR dashboard with English menus, an Irish FM band, DAB and the climate and steering controls kept.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Honda Fit GD, GE, GK and GR. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every Fit we work on — GD, GE, GK and GR — the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and speakers, the reverse camera and the climate controls stay; the new unit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input.
