Half the Hondas here came from Japan
Honda is the make where the import question decides everything. A Jazz bought in Ireland and a Fit imported from Japan are the same car with two different problems: the Irish one simply has no CarPlay, while the import also has Japanese menus and a tuner that stops at 90 MHz. The same car-specific Android screen fixes both at once — English interface, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and the full Irish FM band — which is why we keep more Honda units on the shelf than for any other make except Toyota.
If you would rather keep the original Honda unit in the dash, the language can often be converted in software instead; that route is on the multimedia Japanese to English page and the Honda dashboard conversion page.
Hondas from about 2019 with the Honda Connect screen already have wired CarPlay. There a wireless adapter is the only thing worth adding.

What changes on the dash
The Honda radio comes out and the new screen goes in behind a Honda-shaped fascia — no gap around the unit and no cut trim, which matters on the Civic FN with its two-tier dash. The harness picks up power, speakers, camera and the CAN lines in the factory plugs, so the steering-wheel buttons and the information display between the dials keep working and nothing is spliced. Climate controls stay physical. On imports the tuner problem disappears with the unit: the new screen tunes 87.5–108 MHz, so the Irish dial comes in without any extra work.
