The Mk2 from 2009 to 2016 for the Android screen, because the RD4 and RD45 radios have no display, and the Mk3 from 2016 for wireless adapters and reversing cameras on the touchscreen. Mk4 owners are only starting to arrive, mostly for a camera. The C3 Picasso and C3 Aircross have different dashboards, so ask us about those separately.

Only for anything wired in. The ë-C3 gets the same 10.25-inch screen with wireless CarPlay as the petrol Mk4, so CarPlay needs nothing, and a reversing camera goes through the same interface. If we hardwire a dash cam or a camera we use the 12 V side with a cut-off set for its small battery and never touch the high-voltage system.

Mk2 / A51 — 2009–2016: RD4 or RD45 radio with a small display, Bluetooth and USB on later cars; no touchscreen. Mk3 / SX — 2016–2024: 7-inch touchscreen (RCC or NAC) with Mirror Screen, CarPlay and Android Auto on Feel and Flair; a basic radio with Bluetooth on some entry cars. CarPlay: An Android screen on the Mk2, a wireless adapter on the Mk3 touchscreen, factory wireless CarPlay on the Mk4. Car radio: Our C3-specific Android screen replaces the RD4 or RD45 on the Mk2 and the basic radio on entry Mk3 cars. Reversing camera: Camera on the Android screen or a mirror on the Mk2, on the factory touchscreen on the Mk3 and Mk4. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most C3 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
