Mk2 cars from 2014 to 2022, mostly Touch and Feel cars whose radio or touchscreen has no CarPlay, so they get the Android screen; the same job with a fascia adapter on Mk1 cars from 2005 to 2014. Speakers come second, because the factory front speakers are small and a plug-in pair makes a real difference in a car this light.

Yes. All three are built together and share the dashboard, radio opening, wiring and speakers, so the same Android screen, fascia and speaker adapters fit. The only thing to check is the trim: cars with the touchscreen and steering-wheel buttons take a different harness from base cars with the plain radio, which is why we ask for the reg first.

Mk1 — 2005–2014 (Three and five-door hatch): Single-DIN CD radio without a screen, with an AUX input on later cars; no Bluetooth on most. Mk2 — 2014–2022 (Three and five-door hatch, Airscape): Basic radio with USB and Bluetooth on Touch cars; 7-inch touchscreen (the Toyota X-Touch unit) with Mirror Screen on Feel and Flair; CarPlay on some cars from around 2018. CarPlay: An Android screen with wireless CarPlay on both generations; late Mk2 cars with Mirror Screen take a dongle. Car radio: A C1-specific Android screen in the factory opening on the Mk1 and Mk2, with DAB and a camera input. Speakers: Plug-in front door speakers and tweeters, rear speakers added, on the Mk1 and Mk2. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Speakers: two to four hours depending on how many speakers are changed. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Most C1 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
