Radio King works on the BYD Seal, launch cars and the 2025 update alike: CarPlay and Android Auto are factory-fitted on the rotating screen, so the jobs are pairing faults, dash cams hardwired on the 12 V side with a battery-safe cut-off, and ambient lighting extended to footwells and doors. 2023 and 2024 launch cars, for dash cams first, then ambient lighting extensions and CarPlay pairing faults after software updates. The 2025 update has the same rotating screen with newer software and comes in for the same dash cam and lighting work, and the odd imported car for maps and language.
Does the rotating screen matter for CarPlay?
Only in how it is used. CarPlay and Android Auto run in landscape, so the screen turns to landscape when they start, and that is normal. Nothing we fit interferes with the rotation, and the screen is never removed for a dash cam or lighting job, so the factory look is untouched.

What does Radio King fit on a BYD Seal?
CarPlay: Factory wireless CarPlay on every Seal; software level checked, pairing faults and imported-car set-up sorted. Dash cam: Hardwired on the 12 V side from the cabin fuse panel with a cut-off set for BYD's small battery, both phases. Ambient lighting: Factory ambient extended to footwells, door pockets and boot on launch cars and the 2025 update. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four sensors in the rear bumper with a buzzer that beeps faster; sound only. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a BYD Seal take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Dash cam: one to two hours for a front camera, about two with a rear camera. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Most Seal owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a BYD Seal?
Pre-facelift: the BYD system with a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, improved by software updates stays and we add to it. Facelift: the Updated BYD system with the 15.6-inch rotating screen and newer software; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto standard stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
