Radio King works on the BYD Atto 3: launch cars from 2022 got CarPlay and Android Auto through software updates, so we check the version, sort pairing faults and add a wireless adapter on wired-only cars; the 2025 facelift has both wireless from the factory, so we fit dash cams there. 2022 to 2024 launch cars, for CarPlay that was never updated, wireless adapters and dash cams. The 2025 facelift has wireless CarPlay from the factory and comes in for dash cams and set-up on imported cars. Active, Comfort and Design trims are the same job apart from the screen size.
Is a dash cam safe on an Atto 3?
Yes, from the 12 V side. BYD uses a small 12 V battery that the car tops up from the main pack, so we hardwire from the cabin fuse panel with a low-voltage cut-off set for it and limit parking mode. The high-voltage system is never touched, and the cable hides behind the A-pillar trim and headliner.

What does Radio King fit on a BYD Atto 3?
CarPlay: CarPlay by software update on 2022–2024 cars with adapters where wired, factory wireless on the 2025 facelift. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four sensors in the rear bumper with a buzzer that beeps faster; sound only. Dash cam: Hardwired on the 12 V side with a cut-off for the small 12 V battery, parking mode included. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a BYD Atto 3 take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Atto 3 owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a BYD Atto 3?

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
