It was added later. Launch cars from 2022 arrived without CarPlay and Android Auto and gained them through BYD software updates, wired at first and wireless later, so a car that missed an update still shows nothing. We check the version and what the dealer can update, and where the car is wired only a small adapter on the USB port gives wireless CarPlay and Android Auto without touching the screen.
Does the facelift Atto 3 need anything for CarPlay?
No parts. The 2025 facelift has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on its 15.6-inch rotating screen, so it only comes in for pairing faults or, on imported cars, maps, language and region set-up, which is usually done within the hour while you wait.
How much does CarPlay cost on a BYD Atto 3?
It depends on the generation. Pre-facelift (2022–2024): from €250; Facelift (2025 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
