No, but it is common on launch cars that missed a software update. We check the software version, clear the old phone pairings, test the USB ports and the wireless link, and set Android Auto up properly. Most drop-outs are a pairing or software issue rather than a fault in the car, and the 2025 update cars are far less troubled.
How much does CarPlay cost on a BYD Seal?
It depends on the generation. Pre-facelift (2023–2025): from €250; Facelift (2025 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which BYD Seal years can have CarPlay?

Pre-facelift: about an hour; Facelift: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the Seal in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do I need to book CarPlay for my BYD Seal, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (Pre-facelift and Facelift) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
