Yes, from the 12 V side. BYD fits a small 12 V battery that the car keeps topped up from the main pack, so we hardwire from the cabin fuse panel with a low-voltage cut-off set for it and limit parking mode so it never leaves the car unable to wake. The high-voltage system is not touched. The front cable hides in the headliner, the rear along the boot-lid loom, on launch cars and the 2025 update alike.
How much does dash cam cost on a BYD Seal?
It depends on the generation. Pre-facelift (2023–2025): from €200; Facelift (2025 on): from €200. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

On every Seal we work on — Pre-facelift and Facelift — nothing is cut: the camera runs off fuse taps with a low-voltage cut-off, so parking mode records and stops before the battery is flat.
