It depends on the generation. E81 / E87 (2004–2013): from €249; F20 / F21 (2011–2019): from €249; F40 (2019–2024): from €249. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

E81 / E87, built 2004–2013 (Business CD radio without a screen, or Professional navigation with CCC iDrive to 2008 and CIC iDrive from 2009): Door mids, tweeters and the under-seat woofers replaced on the Stereo and Hi-Fi systems with plug-in adapters, no cutting. F20 / F21, built 2011–2019 (Business radio with a 6.5-inch screen, CIC iDrive on early cars, NBT from 2013 and NBT Evo (ID5/ID6) from 2017): Component upgrade for the Stereo and Hi-Fi systems, under-seat woofers included; Harman Kardon cars keep the factory amplifier. F40, built 2019–2024 (iDrive 7 (ID7) with an 8.8 or 10.25-inch touchscreen; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory): Plug-in speaker and under-seat woofer upgrade for the base and Hi-Fi systems.

Two to four hours depending on how many speakers are changed on the BMW 1 Series E81, F20 and F40. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every 1 Series we work on — E81, F20 and F40 — the factory head unit and amplifier stay; speakers go in on plug-in adapters, so nothing is cut and it can be reversed.
