2019 to 2023 cars, nearly always for a reversing camera coded into the screen, and Swing cars for a wireless adapter. The 2024 facelift already has wireless CarPlay on every unit, so it comes in for cameras and dash cams, and the odd imported car for maps and region.

Yes. The Kamiq and Scala share the dashboard, MIB3 units and tailgate camera position, so every route here applies to the Scala too, down to the fuse positions. The Kamiq sits higher, which only changes the camera angle we set at the end.

Reversing camera: Factory-look camera in the tailgate handle coded into MIB3 with guidelines on pre-facelift and facelift cars. CarPlay: Factory CarPlay on every Kamiq; a wireless adapter on Swing cars, pairing faults and imported-car maps sorted. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four rear sensors and a beeper that speeds up as you close in; nothing on the screen. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Kamiq owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
