MG HS upgrades, generation by generation.
Radio King upgrades the MG HS: both the 2019–2024 car and the 2024-on car have CarPlay wired from the factory, so the CarPlay job is a wireless adapter; beyond that it is ambient LED kits and footwells added to the factory strip. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.

The 2019 to 2024 car, nearly always for the wireless CarPlay adapter, often with a hardwired dash cam in the same visit, and the plug-in hybrid is a good share of those. The 2024-on car is newer and comes mostly for the adapter and for the footwells added to the factory ambient lighting.
What stays factory when you work on an HS?
Everything. The MG touchscreen, its CarPlay and Android Auto, the reversing camera and the factory sensors all stay as they are; the wireless adapter sits between the phone and the USB port, and the lighting runs alongside. Nothing is cut and the warranty is not touched.

What does Radio King fit on a MG HS?
CarPlay: Factory wired CarPlay on both generations, so the job is a wireless adapter hidden in the console. Ambient lighting: App-controlled LED kit on the Mk1, footwells and door pockets added to the factory lighting on the Mk2. Parking sensors: Four sensors in the rear bumper with a buzzer that beeps faster; sound only. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a MG HS take?
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Parking sensors: two to three hours. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Most HS owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a MG HS?
Mk1: the 10.1-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on most trims; MG iSMART connected services on later cars stays and we add to it. Mk2: the 12.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wired on most cars; MG iSMART stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
