Not from the factory on most cars: the 2019 to 2024 HS has wired CarPlay and Android Auto on its 10.1-inch screen, and the 2024-on car is wired on most trims as well. We add a small wireless adapter that plugs into the USB port and tucks into the console, so the phone connects the moment you get in and stays in your pocket. It works with Android Auto too.
Is the adapter any different on the HS plug-in hybrid?
No. The plug-in hybrid uses the same 10.1-inch screen and USB port as the petrol car, so the same adapter fits and behaves the same way. The only hybrid rule is for anything we hardwire, such as a dash cam, which goes on the 12 V side only; the adapter needs no wiring at all and comes out in seconds.
How much does CarPlay cost on a MG HS?
It depends on the generation. Mk1 (2019–2024): from €290; Mk2 (2024 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

How long does CarPlay take on a MG HS?
Mk1: two to three hours; Mk2: two to three hours. You can wait at the workshop or drop the HS in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a MG HS?
Mk1: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. Mk2: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept.
Do I need to book CarPlay for my MG HS, and is there a warranty?
