Yes. Early ND and RF cars have MZD Connect with the 7-inch screen and the Commander knob, and the Mazda retrofit kit adds CarPlay and Android Auto to it: a module behind the screen, a new USB hub and a software update. Cars from 2019 usually had it from the factory, so send the reg and we check first.
What can you do on an MX-5 NC with the CD radio?
The NC has a double-DIN slot and no screen, so the route is an Android screen with a fascia made for the NC dashboard: wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, a camera input and the steering-wheel buttons kept. Bose cars keep the factory amplifier through an adapter. On a Japanese-import Roadster the same screen replaces the Japanese unit and gives you an Irish FM band.
