The 2016 to 2020 car with the Uconnect 5-inch, for an Android screen with wireless CarPlay, often with a reversing camera on the Station Wagon. Cars with the 7-inch Uconnect and the facelift come for a wireless adapter, which is done at the Dublin 11 workshop while you wait.

Only for the camera. The dash, radios and door speakers are the same as the hatchback, so screens and adapters are identical; the reversing camera sits in the tailgate handle on the estate and the cable runs along the roof line, which adds a little time. Book it as a Station Wagon and we allow for it.

CarPlay: A wireless adapter where the Uconnect 7-inch already has CarPlay, an Android screen in place of the 5-inch. Car radio: A Tipo Android screen in place of the Uconnect 5-inch on 2016–2020 cars; facelift cars keep Uconnect. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera on the factory screen with guidelines, coded in where the car supports it. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Tipo owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
