Suzuki · Swift

Suzuki Swift upgrades, generation by generation.

Radio King upgrades the Suzuki Swift by generation: 2005–2017 cars get an Android screen with wireless CarPlay, DAB and a camera input replacing the CD radio, the 2017–2024 Swift has CarPlay on its SLDA touchscreen so we add wireless adapters and cameras, and the 2024 car has wireless CarPlay built in. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which Suzuki Swift do you see most in the workshop?

The 2010–2017 third generation, for an Android screen with wireless CarPlay and DAB to replace the CD radio, usually with a reversing camera. 2017–2024 owners come for a wireless adapter, a camera into the SLDA screen or better speakers, and 2005–2010 cars come in for the same Android screen with their own fascia.

Is the Swift Sport any different for this work?

Not at the dash: the Sport shares the head unit, fascia and harness of the standard car in each generation, so the Android screen or the wireless adapter fits the same way. Owners of the Sport tend to add speakers and a small amplifier, and on the 2017–2024 car the factory unit's output is modest, so an amplifier makes a bigger difference than the speakers alone.

Which Suzuki Swift generation do I have?

ZC11 / ZC21 / ZC31 — 2005–2010 (three and five-door): Factory CD radio without a screen. ZC72 / ZC82 / ZC32 — 2010–2017 (three and five-door): Factory CD radio on most cars; a small navigation unit on some late SZ4 cars. ZC13 / ZC53 / ZC33 — 2017–2024 (five-door): 7-inch SLDA touchscreen with CarPlay and Android Auto on SZ-T and SZ5 cars; a basic radio without a screen on the SZ3. Swift 2024 — 2024 on (five-door): 9-inch touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most trims. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.

What does Radio King fit on a Suzuki Swift?

CarPlay: Android screen on 2005–2017 cars, wireless adapter or screen on 2017–2024, factory wireless on the 2024 car. Reversing camera: Tailgate camera on the Android screen, the SLDA input or a mirror monitor. Car radio: Nine-inch Android screen with DAB and a camera input for the 2005–2010 and 2010–2017 dashes. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and dash tweeters on every generation; small amplifier on the SLDA cars. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

How long do jobs on a Suzuki Swift take?

CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Speakers: two to four hours depending on how many speakers are changed. Most Swift owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do you keep the factory system on a Suzuki Swift?

ZC11 / ZC21 / ZC31: the Factory CD radio without a screen stays and we add to it. ZC72 / ZC82 / ZC32: the Factory CD radio on most cars; a small navigation unit on some late SZ4 cars stays and we add to it. ZC13 / ZC53 / ZC33: the 7-inch SLDA touchscreen with CarPlay and Android Auto on SZ-T and SZ5 cars; a basic radio without a screen on the SZ3 stays and we add to it. Swift 2024: the 9-inch touchscreen with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most trims stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
