Suzuki · Alto

Suzuki Alto upgrades, generation by generation.

Radio King upgrades the Suzuki Alto by generation: the 2002–2008 Alto 1.1 and the 2009–2015 HA25 both get an Android screen in place of the factory radio, with wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth and a reversing camera input, using a fascia made for each dash so nothing is cut. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.

Suzuki Alto: questions people ask.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which Suzuki Alto do you see most in the workshop?

The 2009–2015 HA25, nearly always for the Android screen with wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and DAB to replace the CD radio, sometimes with a reversing camera above the number plate. The 2002–2008 Alto 1.1 comes in for the same screen with its own fascia, usually to replace a radio-cassette.

Does the small battery in an Alto cope with a screen and a dash cam?

The screen draws nothing worth mentioning with the ignition off, so it is no different from the factory radio. A dash cam with parking mode is the one thing to be careful with on a small car, so we wire it from the fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off that switches it off before the battery drops too far, and set the cut-off a little higher than usual on the Alto.

Which Suzuki Alto generation do I have?

Mk5 — 2002–2008 (five-door): Factory radio-cassette or CD without a screen. HA25 — 2009–2015 (five-door): Factory CD radio in a rounded fascia, no screen; Bluetooth on some later cars. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.

What does Radio King fit on a Suzuki Alto?

Car radio: Android screen with DAB, Bluetooth and a camera input for the 2002–2008 and 2009–2015 dashes. CarPlay: Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto through the Android screen on both Alto generations. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.

How long do jobs on a Suzuki Alto take?

Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Alto owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

Do you keep the factory system on a Suzuki Alto?

Mk5: the Factory radio-cassette or CD without a screen stays and we add to it. HA25: the Factory CD radio in a rounded fascia, no screen; Bluetooth on some later cars stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.

How do I book a Suzuki Alto in, and is there a warranty?
