Usually not: Media Nav on 2012 to 2016 cars has no phone mirroring and no input for a box, so the practical route is our Clio Android screen in its place, which keeps the steering stalk and adds a camera input. Cars with Media Nav Evolution from the 2016 facelift may already have Android Auto and, on late software, CarPlay, in which case a wireless adapter is all you need. Send the reg and we check.

Cars with Easy Link have wired CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on both the 7-inch and the 9.3-inch screen, so the only upgrade is a wireless adapter that pairs your phone as you get in. Entry-trim cars with the basic radio and phone cradle have no screen at all, and those get the same Android unit we fit to the Clio IV.

Mk3, built 2005–2012 (Renault CD radio without a screen (Update List); Carminat TomTom navigation on some 2009-on cars): No screen in the dash, so CarPlay and Android Auto arrive with a car-specific Android screen in the radio position. Mk4, built 2012–2019 (Media Nav 7-inch on most cars, R-Link on higher trims, R&Go radio without a screen on entry cars; Media Nav Evolution from the 2016 facelift with Android Auto on later units): Our Clio Android screen in place of the Media Nav, R-Link or R&Go unit brings wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, with the steering stalk kept and a camera input. Mk5, built 2019 on (Easy Link 7-inch or 9.3-inch portrait touchscreen with CarPlay and Android Auto; a basic radio with a phone cradle on entry trims): Factory CarPlay is already there on Easy Link cars: we add a wireless adapter and set up Android Auto; entry cars with the radio and cradle get the Android screen.
