Launch cars shipped with wired CarPlay and no Android Auto. Porsche added both with a software update from the 2021 model year, and many earlier cars can get it at a dealer. Where the update is not available or you do not want the dealer visit, a small adapter on the USB-C port gives wireless CarPlay and a module adds Android Auto, with the factory screen untouched.
Does an imported Taycan need work for CarPlay in Ireland?
CarPlay and Android Auto work in any market, but an imported car's navigation, language and units may be set for the country it came from. We change what the software allows, set kilometres and Irish radio, and check the pairing, on launch cars and the 2024 facelift alike, usually within an hour.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Porsche Taycan?
It depends on the generation. J1 (2019–2024): from €250; Facelift (2024 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
