Radio King upgrades the Isuzu D-Max: TFR and basic-radio RT50 trucks get an Android screen with a tailgate camera on it, RT50 trucks with the factory touchscreen get a camera fed into it, and the RG from 2021 already has CarPlay, so the work is a camera and a wireless adapter. Send your reg and we confirm what fits.
The head unit decides the route, and it changed with every generation. Find your years, then pick the service above for what we fit and from what price.
| Generation | Years | Body | Factory system |
|---|---|---|---|
| TFR / TFS First generation, sold as the Rodeo in some markets | 2002–2012 | Single, extended and double cab pick-up | CD radio in a double-DIN slot with no screen |
| RT50 Second generation | 2012–2020 | Single, extended and double cab pick-up | CD radio without a screen on the Utility; a 7 or 8-inch touchscreen with navigation on Yukon, Utah and Blade, without CarPlay on most cars |
| RG Third generation | 2021 on | Single, extended and double cab pick-up | 7-inch touchscreen on DL20 and Utility, 9-inch on DL40 and V-Cross; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on the 9-inch |
Generation-by-generation guides first — the D-Max jobs we see most. The rest of the workshop's services are done on every Isuzu too.
Book the install, let us photograph the finished car for a case study, and you get a discount on the fitting. Every D-Max owner after you gets a real example to look at.
Answers for D-Max owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppRT50 trucks from 2012 to 2020, nearly always for a reversing camera and an Android screen with CarPlay, because most were sold as Utility trims with a CD radio. RG owners come for a camera on the factory screen and a wireless adapter for the 7-inch unit.
Not much. The camera sits at the tailgate whether there is a canopy or not, and the cable runs inside the chassis rail clear of the tow bar wiring. If you tow a lot we can add a second camera on the trailer with a quick-release plug, shown on the same screen.
TFR / TFS — 2002–2012 (Single, extended and double cab pick-up): CD radio in a double-DIN slot with no screen. RT50 — 2012–2020 (Single, extended and double cab pick-up): CD radio without a screen on the Utility; a 7 or 8-inch touchscreen with navigation on Yukon, Utah and Blade, without CarPlay on most cars. RG — 2021 on (Single, extended and double cab pick-up): 7-inch touchscreen on DL20 and Utility, 9-inch on DL40 and V-Cross; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on the 9-inch. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.
Reversing camera: Tailgate camera on the factory touchscreen, the Android screen or a mirror monitor, cable in the chassis rail. CarPlay: Android screen on 2002 to 2020 trucks, factory CarPlay with a wireless adapter on the RG. Car radio: Car-specific Android screen with wireless CarPlay, DAB and camera input, factory controls kept. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED strips in the cab doors and dash, colour from your phone. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: A rear-only kit of four bumper sensors with an audible warning, no screen display. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat subwoofer with its own amplifier, nothing in the load area. Soundproofing: Cab doors, floor and bulkhead treated; load area on request.
Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most D-Max owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
TFR / TFS: the CD radio in a double-DIN slot with no screen stays and we add to it. RT50: the CD radio without a screen on the Utility; a 7 or 8-inch touchscreen with navigation on Yukon, Utah and Blade, without CarPlay on most cars stays and we add to it. RG: the 7-inch touchscreen on DL20 and Utility, 9-inch on DL40 and V-Cross; CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory, wireless CarPlay on the 9-inch stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.

Excellent service from Radio King. They supplied and professionally installed a 70mai T800 three-channel camera system in my taxi, covering the front, rear and passenger cabin. The wiring was fitted neatly and everything was fully…
