No, the Mk3 has CarPlay and Android Auto on the 8-inch Media Display or Media Nav screen, but only over the USB cable. A wireless adapter plugs into that port, pairs once and connects the phone on its own every time you start the car; that is the wireless CarPlay retrofit we did on the Sandero recently. Essential cars with the phone cradle have no screen, so they take an Android screen instead.
Can a 2015 Dacia Sandero with Media Nav get CarPlay?
Yes, with a Sandero-specific Android screen in place of the Media Nav unit, because the 2013 to 2018 Media Nav never had CarPlay in its software. The screen fits the same opening, keeps the column stalk controls and the factory speakers, and adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input. Cars from around 2019 with CarPlay on Media Nav Evolution only need a wireless dongle.
