Radio King works on the Dacia Sandero: Mk2 cars with Media Nav get a Sandero Android screen with wireless CarPlay, late Mk2 cars with CarPlay on Media Nav Evolution take a wireless adapter, and the Mk3 has wired CarPlay on Media Display or Media Nav, so the usual job is the adapter. Send your reg and we confirm the route.
The head unit decides the route, and it changed with every generation. Find your years, then pick the service above for what we fit and from what price.
| Generation | Years | Body | Factory system |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mk2 Second generation | 2013–2021 | Hatch and Stepway | Basic radio with Bluetooth and no screen on Access and Ambiance; 7-inch Media Nav on Lauréate, Media Nav Evolution from the 2017 facelift, with CarPlay and Android Auto on some cars from around 2019 |
| Mk3 Third generation | 2021 on | Hatch and Stepway | Media Control with a phone cradle and no screen on Essential; 8-inch Media Display or Media Nav with wired CarPlay and Android Auto on Comfort, Expression and Journey |
Generation-by-generation guides first — the Sandero jobs we see most. The rest of the workshop's services are done on every Dacia too.
Real Dacia cars from the Dublin 11 workshop — Sandero first, then the rest of the range: what was fitted and what changed on the dash.
Car-specific screens, CarPlay boxes and activations for Dacia: supply-only with delivery across Ireland, or fitted at our Dublin 11 workshop.

Ask on WhatsAppMk3 cars from 2021 on, nearly always for a wireless adapter because the factory CarPlay on Media Display and Media Nav is wired, and Stepway cars in the same numbers as the hatch. Mk2 cars from 2013 to 2021 come in for an Android screen when their Media Nav or basic radio has no CarPlay. The Mk1 was never sold in Ireland.
No. The Stepway is the same car with raised suspension and body cladding, and the dashboard, radios and wiring are identical on the Mk2 and Mk3, so a wireless adapter or an Android screen is the same job and the same parts. The only thing we check from the reg is which radio the car came with, because that decides the route.
Mk2 — 2013–2021 (Hatch and Stepway): Basic radio with Bluetooth and no screen on Access and Ambiance; 7-inch Media Nav on Lauréate, Media Nav Evolution from the 2017 facelift, with CarPlay and Android Auto on some cars from around 2019. Mk3 — 2021 on (Hatch and Stepway): Media Control with a phone cradle and no screen on Essential; 8-inch Media Display or Media Nav with wired CarPlay and Android Auto on Comfort, Expression and Journey. Not sure? Send the reg on WhatsApp and we tell you the generation and the route.
CarPlay: A Sandero Android screen on Mk2 Media Nav cars, a wireless adapter on late Mk2 and every Mk3 with a screen. Reversing camera: Camera on the factory screen where it supports it, a mirror monitor or Android screen where it does not. Car radio: Car-specific Android screen with wireless CarPlay, DAB and camera input, factory controls kept. Ambient lighting: Ambient LED kits in doors and dash, extended factory ambient on newer cars, app controlled. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Colour-matched sensors with a factory-style tone, shown on the screen where the car supports it. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Reversing camera: two to three hours. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Most Sandero owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Mk2: the Basic radio with Bluetooth and no screen on Access and Ambiance; 7-inch Media Nav on Lauréate, Media Nav Evolution from the 2017 facelift, with CarPlay and Android Auto on some cars from around 2019 stays and we add to it. Mk3: the Media Control with a phone cradle and no screen on Essential; 8-inch Media Display or Media Nav with wired CarPlay and Android Auto on Comfort, Expression and Journey stays and we add to it. Steering-wheel buttons, factory amplifiers and cameras are carried over on every route; the only route that changes what you see is an Android screen, and even then the controls are kept.
Send the reg or the year on WhatsApp or the form below and we confirm the generation, the route, the price and the next free slot. Every job carries a one-year warranty on the work, done at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
