2021 to 2023 launch cars, mostly for ambient lighting extensions and reversing cameras, and dash cams across the range. The 2024 facelift already has wireless CarPlay and a larger screen, so it comes in for the same lighting and camera work. The e-Hybrid is the same job with power taken from the 12 V side.
Is the Formentor the same as the Leon for this work?
Very close. The Formentor shares its dashboard, MIB3 units and ambient system with the CUPRA Leon and SEAT Leon of the same years, so lighting, cameras and CarPlay follow the same routes. The tailgate loom is different, which only changes the camera fitting time.

What does Radio King fit on a CUPRA Formentor?
Ambient lighting: Factory ambient strip extended to footwells, door pockets and console on both phases; a full kit on V1 cars. Reversing camera: Factory-look camera in the tailgate handle coded into MIB3 with guidelines on launch cars and the facelift. CarPlay: Factory CarPlay on every Formentor; wireless adapters on early wired cars, pairing faults and imports sorted. Car radio: Larger Android screen with the factory buttons and amplifier kept, where the original display is too small. Speakers: Plug-in door speakers and tweeters, factory head unit and amplifier kept, no cutting. Parking sensors: Four rear sensors and a beeper that speeds up as you close in; nothing on the screen. Dash cam: Hardwired from the fuse box with parking mode and a low-voltage cut-off, cables hidden. Subwoofer: Under-seat or boot subwoofer on a DSP amplifier fed from the factory unit, boot space kept. Soundproofing: Doors and floor treated with butyl and foam, trim refitted without marks.
How long do jobs on a CUPRA Formentor take?
Ambient lighting: two to four hours. Reversing camera: two to three hours. CarPlay: under an hour for activation, two to four hours for a box or a screen. Car radio: two to three hours, usually the same day. Most Formentor owners wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
Do you keep the factory system on a CUPRA Formentor?
