R-Link 2 cars from 2015 to 2018 usually have DAB already; if the tuner is missing, a hidden DAB adapter through the aux or FM input is the cheap route, but the station names will not show properly. If you want DAB, CarPlay and a camera together, the Kadjar Android screen does all three in one unit and is the better value.

It depends on the generation. Ph1 (2015–2018): from €290; Ph2 (2018–2022): from €290. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Ph1, built 2015–2018 (R-Link 2 7-inch touchscreen on most cars, a basic radio without a screen on entry trims; Android Auto and CarPlay only on cars updated to late R-Link 2 software): Our 2015–2018 Kadjar Android screen: a 9-inch unit in the R-Link 2 position with DAB, camera input, the steering stalk and the climate display kept. Ph2, built 2018–2022 (R-Link 2 7-inch with CarPlay and Android Auto from the factory on most cars; a basic radio on entry trims): Only entry-trim cars with the basic radio need a new screen: the same Kadjar Android unit; R-Link 2 cars keep the factory screen.

Two to three hours, usually the same day on the Renault Kadjar Ph1 and Ph2. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every Kadjar we work on — Ph1 and Ph2 — the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and speakers, the reverse camera and the climate controls stay; the new unit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB and a camera input.
