Ask on WhatsAppHow much does dash cam cost on a Porsche Boxster?
It depends on the generation. 987 (2005–2012): from €200; 981 (2012–2016): from €200; 982 (2016 on): from €200. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which Porsche Boxster years can have dash cam?
987, built 2005–2012 (CDR-24 radio or PCM 2.1 to 2008; CDR-30 or PCM 3.0 with a touchscreen on 987.2 cars from 2009): Hardwired from the fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off; front camera tucked behind the mirror, rear camera along the headliner, the CDR-24 radio or PCM 2.1 to 2008 untouched. 981, built 2012–2016 (PCM 3.1 with a 7-inch touchscreen on most cars, CDR-31 radio on some; no CarPlay on any year): Hardwired from the fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off; front camera tucked behind the mirror, rear camera along the headliner, the PCM 3.1 untouched. 982, built 2016 on (PCM 4.0 with a 7-inch touchscreen and wired CarPlay; wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on most cars from the 2022 model year): Hardwired from the fuse box with a low-voltage cut-off; front camera tucked behind the mirror, rear camera along the headliner, the PCM 4.0 untouched.
How long does dash cam take on a Porsche Boxster?
One to two hours for a front camera, about two with a rear camera on the Porsche Boxster 987, 981 and 982. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit dash cam on a Porsche Boxster?
On every Boxster we work on — 987, 981 and 982 — nothing is cut: the camera runs off fuse taps with a low-voltage cut-off, so parking mode records and stops before the battery is flat.
Do I need to book dash cam for my Porsche Boxster, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (987, 981 and 982) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
