Cars built from 2021 to 2024 have CarPlay and Android Auto, but wired: the phone has to be plugged into the USB port on the console. A wireless adapter fixes that and connects the phone as you sit in, with the factory screen and buttons working as before. The 2024 facelift with the ccNC system connects wirelessly from the factory and needs nothing added.
Will a wireless adapter affect the EV6 battery or warranty?
No. The adapter plugs into the factory USB port, draws power only when the car is on and touches nothing in the high-voltage system, so it has no effect on range and no effect on the warranty. It does not change the car's software, and it unplugs in seconds if you ever sell the car.
How much does CarPlay cost on a Kia EV6?
It depends on the generation. CV (2021–2024): from €250; CV-PE (2024 on): from €250. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
