Yes. The Blue&Me radio on 2007 to 2015 cars has no screen, so the route is our Fiat 500 Android unit in its place: a 7-inch touchscreen with a fascia matched to the dash colour, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB, Bluetooth calls and a reversing camera input, with the steering-wheel buttons kept. It is the most common job we do on the 500 and takes about half a day.
Does my facelift Fiat 500 already have CarPlay?
If it has the Uconnect 7-inch HD Live touchscreen, yes: CarPlay and Android Auto are wired through the USB port and a wireless adapter is the only upgrade. The Uconnect 5-inch on Pop and many Lounge cars has no phone mirroring at all, and those take the same Android unit as the earlier car, with the facelift fascia. How long does CarPlay take on a Fiat 500?
312: two to three hours; 312 facelift: about an hour. You can wait at the workshop or drop the 500 in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit CarPlay on a Fiat 500?
312: the display is replaced, but the steering-wheel buttons, the factory amplifier and the climate controls are kept. 312 facelift: CarPlay is factory-fitted, so we only add to it.
