The factory system lights the dash and doors; we add footwell, door pocket and boot lighting on plug-in adapters so it follows the colour and brightness set on the screen, on 2021 to 2023 cars with the 12-inch screen and on the 12.9-inch cars. Trims without factory ambient get an app-controlled kit in the same positions. Nothing is cut and it all comes out again.
How much does ambient lighting cost on a CUPRA Born?
It depends on the generation. 12-inch screen (2021–2023): from €800; 12.9-inch screen (2024 on): from €800. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.

Two to four hours on the CUPRA Born 12-inch and 12.9-inch. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.

On every Born we work on — 12-inch and 12.9-inch — the kit runs off a fused feed and the factory ambient lighting stays; colour and brightness are set from your phone.
