The first Stelvios have the Connect 8.8-inch with the rotary controller and no phone mirroring, so an interface box goes behind the screen and puts CarPlay and Android Auto on it, worked from the controller and the steering buttons, with the factory look untouched. Cars from the 2018 model year usually have CarPlay already and only need a wireless adapter. Send the reg and we check the software.
Is CarPlay wireless on the facelift Stelvio?
Not from the factory on most cars: the 2020-on 8.8-inch touchscreen has wired CarPlay and Android Auto through the USB port in the console. A small wireless adapter plugs into that port, hides in the console and connects the phone as you get in, keeping the touchscreen and the rotary controller as before. Fitting takes under an hour while you wait.
