This 2015 Volkswagen Golf came to our Dublin workshop for a complete multimedia system upgrade.
The previous radio was replaced with a modern 10-inch multimedia display, giving the centre console a larger screen and a much more up-to-date appearance.
10-inch multimedia upgrade for Volkswagen Golf
Older factory radio systems can make an otherwise good interior feel dated, particularly when compared with the larger infotainment displays found in newer vehicles.
For this Volkswagen Golf, the existing radio was removed and replaced with a 10-inch multimedia unit designed to integrate neatly into the dashboard.
The larger display provides a clearer and more modern multimedia interface while significantly updating the appearance of the centre console.
What we did
• Removed the previous radio / head unit
• Installed a new 10-inch multimedia system
• Integrated the new unit into the existing dashboard
• Checked the fit and operation after installation
• Tested the completed multimedia system before returning the vehicle
A more modern Golf interior
One of the biggest visual changes from this upgrade is the size of the new display.
The 10-inch screen gives the dashboard a much more contemporary appearance while keeping the installation contained within the original centre-console area.
Rather than changing the entire interior, the multimedia upgrade modernises the part of the dashboard that the driver interacts with most frequently.
