FAQ
Volkswagen T-Roc ambient lighting: questions people ask.
Answers for T-Roc owners. Something else? Message us on WhatsApp — we usually reply in under 5 minutes.
Ask on WhatsAppCan you extend the factory ambient lighting in a T-Roc?
Yes. Design, Style and R-Line cars from 2017 have a factory ambient strip in the dash and doors; we add footwell and door-pocket lighting that follows the same colour, and on the 2022-on facelift it matches the multi-colour system. Cars that came without ambient light get a full LED kit with colour and brightness from your phone. It suits the Cabriolet as well.
How much does ambient lighting cost on a Volkswagen T-Roc?
It depends on the generation. A11 (2017–2022): from €800; A11 facelift (2022 on): from €800. Fitting is done at our Dublin 11 workshop — send the reg and we confirm the exact price before you book.
Which Volkswagen T-Roc years can have ambient lighting?
A11, built 2017–2022 (MIB2 Composition Media or Discover Media, 8-inch, with App-Connect on most cars; wired by design): Extends the factory dash and door ambient strip on Design, Style and R-Line cars to the footwells and door pockets; full app-controlled LED kit on cars without it. A11 facelift, built 2022 on (MIB3 Discover Media or Discover Pro with wireless App-Connect on most cars, 8 or 9.2-inch screen, Digital Cockpit standard): Extended ambient lighting in the footwells and door pockets matched to the factory multi-colour system, including the Cabriolet.
How long does ambient lighting take on a Volkswagen T-Roc?
Two to four hours on the Volkswagen T-Roc A11. You can wait at the workshop or drop the car in the morning and collect it the same day.
What stays factory when you fit ambient lighting on a Volkswagen T-Roc?
On every T-Roc we work on — A11 — the kit runs off a fused feed and the factory ambient lighting stays; colour and brightness are set from your phone.
Do I need to book ambient lighting for my Volkswagen T-Roc, and is there a warranty?
Yes — send the reg or the year and generation (A11) on WhatsApp or the form below, and we confirm the route, the price and the next free slot. The work carries a one-year warranty, and the workshop is in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11, Monday to Saturday.
