How we install it
A dash cam is only as good as the install. Ours are hardwired to the fuse box with the correct fused take-off, cables hidden in the headlining, A-pillar and trim, and the camera positioned behind the mirror where it doesn't block your view or fail an NCT.

Before you order
Does it keep recording when the car is parked?
Yes — parking surveillance is built in. It needs to be hardwired to the fuse box rather than run off the cigarette socket, which is included when you add fitting. We set the voltage cut-off so the camera protects the car without ever leaving you with a flat battery.
Will it drain my battery?
Not when it's wired properly. The hardwire kit we fit includes a low-voltage cut-off: the camera stops drawing power before the battery drops below the level your car needs to start. That's the main reason to have a dash cam installed rather than plugged in.
Do I need a memory card?
You need a high-endurance microSD card — ordinary cards wear out quickly under constant recording and then fail silently, usually right before you need them. We can supply and format one with the camera, so it works from day one.
Are dash cams legal in Ireland?
Yes. Dash cams are legal to use on Irish roads, and insurers regularly accept footage as evidence in claims. Just keep the camera behind the rear-view mirror so it doesn't obstruct your view — which is where we mount it anyway.
How long does fitting take, and what does it cost?
Fitting is €85 and takes around an hour. It's carried out at our workshop in Rosemount Business Park, Dublin 11 — add it at checkout and we'll call to agree a time.
