Another Opel Astra through the Radio King workshop in Dublin 11 for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: the factory radio was replaced with an Android touchscreen in the original dash opening, with the steering wheel controls kept. It is the same kit as our earlier Opel Astra install, and it fits 2009–2015 models.
What was fitted on this Opel Astra
The factory radio came out and an Android head unit went in its place, supplied as a kit for the Opel Astra with the model-specific fascia and a plug-in harness, so nothing on the car was cut. This one is the 8-core, 4 GB spec with a QLED panel, the version we recommend for cars that live outdoors because the screen stays readable in direct daylight. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect the moment you get in, the steering wheel buttons are kept (through a CAN interface where the car needs one), and the unit has a reverse camera input and built-in GPS with offline maps for the roads where coverage disappears.

The kit fits 2009–2015 Opel Astra models. Trim levels, factory amplifiers and the shape of the dash opening changed across model years, so the quickest check is a photo of your dashboard and steering wheel sent on WhatsApp with the registration.
